Free Health Clinic for Migrants

In collaboration with a group of local physicians, we are operating a free medical clinic every week to serve migrant families in our community. Migrants face many barriers to accessing healthcare and this clinic seeks to facilitate the process of receiving the medical care they deserve. The clinic uses a telemedicine model to allow patients to communicate with physicians across the city. We serve in a triage capacity and have treated a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. The clinic follows a trauma-informed care model, by which the patients’ safety, comfortability, authority, and empowerment are of foremost importance.
